"Constant current source" is the right way, but if you know the voltage is fixed, then a resistor is easier and cheaper.

Dedicated LED driver with boost converter is good if you want to keep adding LEDs, they allow hundreds of LEDs in series from a low voltage supply (typically found in small LCD screens). Something like the PT4115 (IIRC), you can actually buy them on ready populated PCBs for just a few £.
