I like my Jack Daniels with ice, or with Coca Cola and ice, my Four Roses with ginger ale and ice, my Jim Beam straight with ice, and my Jameson in the Irish coffe.

I can tell. They tried to slip me a fast one in a Margarita on the rocks in Reno this week after tipping the waitress pretty good for the night while playing craps. One complaint and it was Patrón Tequila and orange liqueur side shots until I was too numb to play. I you want to drink on the house, Reno mid-week is the place to get comp's for drinks and food if your plan is to gamble a bit and drink a little more than normal for free. I lost most of my bank-roll (and had a hell of good time doing it) but my son was up $1400 so it worked out between us.I was at a friend's house, and it was a large party. That's awesome. I'm visiting New Orleans in February and can't wait to try the Sazeracs there, "America's first cocktail".
Never had the mixed drink myself. Just some straight rye whiskey on the rocks for sippin' and the occasional Coke with a shot added.
Now that you mention it, I'm a gonna have to give one a try.
