Im trying to make a circuit where i can somehow convert a momentary switch to be used as an on/off switch that will connect and disconnect a ground signal to a chip on a radio PCB.
When i connect the pin to ground the radio will go into AUX mode. i have already tested it using an on/off switch but i want to use one of the tactile switches on the face of the radio instead of mounting a new on/off switch.
The radio does not have an AUX button but does include the circuitry required for aux to function through a CD changer port that requires an AUX on signal of 5V that then goes to a transistor which then connects to the pin on the IC .
I would like to possibly eliminate the need for 5V.
i attached the a schematic of the circuit.
is there any ideas out there??
