I am new to electronics and built this simple circuit. I touch the base wire with one hand and the wooden workbench with the other and the led lights. Where does the transistor base get its current from? F13BB2F0-6403-4378-8D2C-09ADE2ABFB5F.JPG FD72C754-A1D4-4813-B8C7-4A6DEA288BD3.JPG

You're body may be acting like an antenna and receiving fields from nearby fluorescent lights or other powered devices. Try turning stuff off and see if the light dims.
