How can replace this inductor

Hello gurus ...

I have this solar charge controller that got burnt during installation... Didnt do anything wrongly, connected the battery and it smoked.

So I opened it up and noticed a component (L2) looked burnt, looking clearly at the number, it's a 100J inductor (image attached). I removed the inductor and bridged the interface and the controller powered on connecting the same battery.

Now, I cant get another 100J inductor, can I replace the part with any other inductor from another circuit board I might find? Or can I continue using it without the inductor

Not sure, but 100J is probably 100 nH. It probably wasn't bad in the first place, unless it was an incorrect part placed by the manufacturer. It looks to be some sort of input filter - probably not really needed for DC input from a panel. Why can't you get a new inductor? If you can't get one, then MAKE one and approximate the device that was "burnt".
