So i bought a older hakko a while back, model 852-3. On hakkos website it listed all the replacement parts so i thought i was ok. Then i realized the little shopping cart icon was dim/discontinued for 95% of the parts.

Now i understand the boards, and internals not being stocked for such a old system. But i find it a little strange they dont carry the heating element which is basically a consumable.

My question is, does anyone have any leads on where to get a heating element or any other parts for this?

Is there a different element that would work with it? Im just utterly shocked theres not a huge aftermarket parts website somewhere.

Nichrome wire heating element stock used to be available at some appliance parts shops. But that was a while back. I am not familiar with that brand or model, but I have repaired one old hot air gun that needed a new heater, If you can get resistance wire the same diameter then it is possible to wind a replacement winding with the same number of turns, if you can get a piece of metal rod to use for the winding form. Very tedious but possible. But if the ceramic framework has turned to powder you could be out of luck.
