Hello guys, so i have an electric sit stand desk and it stopped working a while ago, i opened up the control box model TC15L from TI motion, and saw the IC in the pictures was fried so much so that it was impossible to read the part number off of the IC. Upon touching this IC, it blew away like dust. Now my question is that is it possible to know what IC was that or no?

Sadly, unless you can find a picture from another TC15-PCB1 its impossible to say. TiMotion manufacture the controller, they might sell you another controller, but I doubt they'll be helpful enough to give chip info or sell a replacement board. You might find one on eBay?

[edit] a little more research found this picture... which clarifies the purpose of the chip which is under L1 in the top RH corner... its a switch-mode power supply running from the 32v supply from the other module and supplies 5v to the rest of the circuitry. For it to fry like that suggests a catastrophic failure and its likely that 32v found its way to the 5v rail. Which in turn suggests the rest of the controller and probably the handset/display are toast as well.Even if the chip could be replaced its unlikely the fault would be fixed.
