Could someone make these connections for me? I gave this to two elec. engineers and they did it wrong not comprehending the reverse polarity of the heating side of the TEC and having the external fan off during the heating cycle. Thank you in advance

Your TEC may have been damaged by that event. They can easily get hot enough to damage themselves. I test them by hooking them briefly (just seconds) to a 5V or 12V source such as a battery. You should feel one side quickly get hot and the other cooler. If you go too long, both sides will get hot because the TEC can create a ∆T across itself, and so the lowest temperature is dependent on the temperature on the hot side.

You'll need to read carefully about the outputs of your controller. I suspect they are on or off, but not capable of reversing the polarity if what you want is the capability to both heat and cool using the TEC. If you only need cooling, it'll be fine.

I have not connected the TEC yet. So pretty sure it's not damaged yet.

In addition to giving them pieces to assemble, you need to also state the required operation modes. Otherwise you get guesses. Mind reading was not in any of my classes.

I am installing this in a humidor, and I want it to automatically switch between cooling and heating at 70 degrees. The STC-1000 does have relays and a delay of 10 minutes between switching from heating to cooling.

I'd use a lightbulb (or any resistive element) as the heater and then there's no concern about polarity reversal on the TEC.
