Hi,

I have VW microphone which works with stock audio unit but doesnt work with my Android based audio unit.

MIC which came with Android head unit is working properly.

I have noticed that Android head unit MIC is a 2 pin MIC which is directly connected to mono pin and stock MIC has some circuit and is 3 pin MIC.

Is there anyway i can bypass the circuit and use stock MIC.

I have attached photos of stock MIC.

Please help.

Thanks.

The 3 pin microphone has transistors on the pcb for amplified output, and will have a voltage supply to it.

So your option is to connect the screen coax cable directly to the microphone pins.

Which pin? MIC is 3 PIN and there are 2 wires in cable.

Ground is connected to 1 PIN and I tried connecting other wire to remaining PINs in different combination but it didn't work.

Usually on a 2 wire setup you would have pin 1 & 3 connected together as your shield and black or ground and negative, and pin 2 for your red or your live wire.

Have you tried not using the ground and wire into positive and negative only?
