Does anyone have any good guitar amp schematics? Also, what would be a good IC to use for an amp. It needs to be about 30-45W.

Them 6L6 transistors is some fine parts. Right nice to have on a cold winters night. ( I was so tempted to post a schematic of a Bassman 10.)

I used (2) 12AX7's and a 6V6. :)
Then added a foot switch to choose which preamp to use during performance and whether to include the 10uf across the emitter resistor of the 6V6.

Yeah. You caught me thinking in generic terms. Emitter, source, cathode...All the same to me.:D

Am I getting really old?

Darn senior moments! :(

Seriously, I was just looking at that schematic of the 4 tube output stage and called the B+ line, "going to the collector"! I guess it's the logical result of learning to think equally well in vacuum tubes, bipolar transistors, j-fets, and mosfets. They all do the same thing in slightly different ways and they all tend to blur together after 30 or 40 years of doing this.

op-amp preamp section with tube final and transistor regulated power supply. just need to fit that DAC in there somewhere for a full 100 years span of technology coverage. Dammit woman, where is my coffee? I know I poured a cup this morning, I think. What were we talking about again?
