Help on wiring LED's

As to brightness, depends on the effect you want, 10ma is still very bright. LEDs in general are nonlinear, the amount of light they produce isn't quite a match for current. Even 1ma, while not bright, will be clearly visible. You may want to experiment and see.

It will extend the life of the batteries a lot.

ok I will experiment. How is current limited though? resistors limit voltage right? im confused now. because that progam that lays out the wiring diagram uses the same resistors wether i put in 20mA or 1mA.

Without seeing your schematic or program we are guessing, but I suspect your program is seriously flawed.

In general it is a good idea to post the schematics for the project, many eyes no bugs make.

the program is from the link that is on the first page of this thread suggested by one of the senior members if you wanted to take a look. it is in like the 2nd or 3rd response post
