Its my first post here.. I found this great forum from Google, and I have a question..

I am looking for a unidirectional repeater interface which allows you to connect two radios back to back to have one act as a transmitter, and the other as a receiver... Does anyone know where we could get a good one?

 

One can buy such devices, but they are obscenely expensive for what they do. A simple carrier operated relay can supply the push-to-talk function and the audio from the receiver may have to go through a simple matching circuit (H-pad, T-pad, or transformer) for best results. This is one of those situations wherein "make" vs. "buy" favors "make".
