I have current limiting and balancing circuit.
Here is the balancing circuit that I use.

Hi,
I am new to this forum and don't much about the formalities, so kindly ignore if I am making a sin.
I have an old single phase diesel generator which gives out three wires like that of a center tapped transformer. The generator is giving an output AC varying from 14V(idle) to 80V (when revved to max). I wish to use this to charge a battery and power up some dc loads. I tried getting many of the commercial regulator/rectifier units which were ultimately fired.
So basically I need some help in building a regulator at 14.5V which can withstand this input variation and provide a minimum current of 10A.
As per my googling the Vin-Vout is always less than 40 and in my case it is more than 60V. Am stuck at this point. Any thoughts or circuits will be of great help.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks
Ameen

Here is a 10A buck step down converter that can handle an input of up to 60Vdc.

So if you can fit a front end to the transformer output that limits the rectified voltage to a maximum of 60V – then this device might do what you want.

If using it to deliver an output at 10A, I’d recommend you add a cooling fan to give the unit a fighting chance of lasting longer than 10 minutes.

Thanks for your reply, I like the idea of transformers but unfortunately this seller does not ship to India, I will search for some Indian vendors who can provide the same.
