Hi does anyone know how do i draw a circuit that will convert a galvanometer with a full-scale deflection (f.s.d.) of 1mA and internal resistance of 20Ω into an instrument capable of measuring up to 1A. ?

Draw another circuit to convert the same galvanometer to read 10 volts f.s.d. ?

i have been trying to do it for ages but everything i have done is wrong , if someone could help me draw them that would be great

thank you .

no its just a revision/practice questions and i have been trying to do it for some time , but am quiet new to electrical/electronic engineering so i dont understand how to do those type of things at the moment.

Ok so 20ohms @1mA is 20mV fsd , so to take 1Amp you need a shunt in parallel with the meter to get rid of 999mA.

And in series with the meter to drop 9.98V @1mA.
