Help - Add Optical/Aux input to Sony Wireless Subwoofer

I have an old Sony Blu-ray Disc/DVD Home Theatre System which is composed by a Blu-ray disc player, which no longer works, and a Subwoofer with its speakers. The subwoofer only has an input for a Sony wireless transceiver card (the other one was on the blu ray player) and 2 output for the speakers.
I want to add a optical cable input or an aux or any other mode that makes it work with a new TV. Can this be done? Thank you
Here is the subwoofer circuit:

It looks like there might be 2 RCA Jacks for Inputs, is this true ?,
if so, does your TV have multiple Audio-Outputs ?, ( it's extremely likely that it does ).

The pictures that You supplied are, unfortunately, not helpful.

No there aren't RCA Jacks for inputs. There are 2 outputs for the speakers (whose type I don't know) and 2 other outputs in differente sides that links the sound box of the subwoofer to this board unit. here the pictures:

Unless you can find a schematic of the circuit you have, the easiest would be to buy a subwoofer plate amplifier to replace the amp you have, such as one of these.

I was going to suggest one of the EBay kits, but Crutschow’s suggestion is far better.

SIDE RANT; that was one of the features that I hated from Sony products: their proprietary features.

Thank you! Any of these is ok for me? like the cheapest https://www.parts-express.com/Dayton-Audio-SA25-25W-Subwoofer-Amplifier-300-782?quantity=1?
If I understood correctly I should remove the connectors from the speaker cables and connect them directly to the plate amplifier and the same thing for the subwoofer. But my amp also has another cable going to the subwoofer (it's in the last picture I've upload). It's made of 3 grey cables. What to do with it?

Inside Sony's manual is written that the subwoofer amplifier has power Out of 120W (at 4 ohm, 80 Hz)

Looking more closely at the 3 pin wire, it is written on the board: GND, LED -G and LED-R...what happens if I leave them without connection to the subwoofer?

Since the original has 120W output, I would get one with at least 100W output.
25W may be a little wimpy.

Sounds like some sort of indicator light connection, so I think you can safely leave them disconnected.

Anyway, it you go to a separate amplifier, you will be connecting directly to the speaker, and will leave the original amp unpowered.

Thank you! So if I choose one of these, which has RCA inputs, I could connect aux cable with an adapter like this?1690220923345.png .
Then if I get this I guess I have to solder the wires that exit from the subwoofer driver to the cables behind the new plate amplifier, right? Then linking the speakers through these ports right? 1690221537880.png
In my case these ports will remain disconnected: 1690221589198.png

No, not if I understand you correctly.
You remove any/all present wires to the subwoofer speaker and connect the new plate amplifier output wires directly to those subwoofer speaker internal connections.
There will be no other connections to any input/output terminals you have on the original devices

The new plate driver Low Level input analog audio sockets (below) will be connected to your new TV audio output connections.
The other plate amplifier inputs and outputs are not connected (they are if you don't have low level inputs, and need to connect to the speakers you have to get an audio signal to the sub).

What audio outputs does you new TV have?
If it has no analog audio output (many new TVs don't) and only digital/optical audio out, then you will have to buy a digital-audio to analog-audio converter, such as this.

Do you plan on using the left/right speakers also?

My TV has coaxial (AUX), HDMI, optical and USB audio inputs.
Yes I plan to connect also two speakers.

Thank you, now I understand how to wire everthing.
