I suspect just the opposite, you would have nulled gravity in the exact center of the earth, as the surrounding mass on all sides would cancel it out. As you get further from the center gravity (as we know it) would begin to assert itself, slowly.
However...if the distribution of mass was PERFECT in a hollow sphere then it would be possible for an Atom...of PERFECT mass distribution within it's nucleus to remain dead center of a hollow sphere.

...but it's possible to make a tunnel through one!? This is theoretical, youcan't pick and choose what you want to theorize so as to prove a point without examining others.


It does not exist there, it exists everywhere,a force from each individual particle. The macroscopic model you are using no longer applies.


Now, assume the particle is displaced in a conservative system,what happens to the particle?
Granted..you are right about the theoretical nature of these questions.

My model still applies as in my question we are making a determination based upon the existance of ONE Gravity Well.

In your question there would be many Gravity Wells.

Please extrapolate more on your last question.

One other thing...even though all the mass of a planet determines the Space/Time Warpeture or Gravitational Effect...the ability for other objects of mass or Quantum Particle/Wave Forms to be effected...is specific to the DISTANCE away from the planets center point of gravity and NOT it's surface.

There would be many gravity wells for a sphere? By what nature? What differentiates the hollow sphere from a partially hollow sphere so that you can claim different models of gravity wells? Each particle would have a gravity well on the microscopic scale and the whole unit would have a single gravity well, assumed as a point of gravity, given proper distance from the object whose effect is to be determined.

So, in the hollow sphere, save a single particle:rolleyes: , if the system is entirely isolated, and the only effect on the particle is the gravity from the surrounding sphere, and the particle is initially displaced to a location within the sphere, other than the center, what happens to the particle?

That is only a model for distances >> the diameter of the object, much like a charged sphere is considered a point charge, given sufficient distance from it.

The existance and location of the Center Point of a Gravity Well is specific to the center point of distributed mass.

Since a perfect hollow ball that has it's mass perfectly distributed Center Points of the existing Gravity Wells would be at all positions center of the thickness of the shell.

As to your second question...what kind of particle are we talking? A Proton or Neutron or a Quantum Particle/Wave Form as ALL are effected by Gravity.

But as my example of Saturns Gravitational effect being just 91% of Earth's at Saturns surface...Gravitic Effect is specific to DISTANCE AWAY from the Center Point of the Gravity Well...not the planet.

...it has to do with the distance at which the effect of the gravitational pull of an object is reasonably approximated to a single point. If you were to decompose the forces into constituent forces, you'll notice that the downward effect(toward the center) from particles along the surface is less witha sphere with a larger radius. It has to do with the distance from the planet as towhether the model is applicable.

Yes...that is exactly what is happening as far as the Saturn example.

The thing is...if a spherical body is not hollow...there will be ONE ceter point of a Gravity Well. It will exist at the exact center of the distribution of mass.

Given this...all the mass of the body will be creating this Expression of Singularity.

I am not certain as if it was possible to teleport a Photon into the center of such a sphere...would a specific threshold have to exist as far as the Space/Time curvature...to allow such a particle to remain dead center?

Using the gravity well model, the whole object warps space/time about it as though the effect is inherent to the object(on a macroscopic level) and therefore, modeled as a single point of gravity, provided the effectual distance is much greater than the diameter of the object. Again, this model does not hold when distances are comparable to the diameter of the sphere.

Gravity is created from an interaction with mater. As such, its effects are due to the presence and orientation of matter and are on a particle-by-particle basis, modeled on a macroscopic level due to the simplification of any math involving every constituent particle of an object.

Since the effect of gravity is continuous and an effect on everything with matter, no, a threshold doesn't make sense, as there are no other acting forces.

What exactly are you saying is interacting with matter to create gravity?

The attraction of particles of mass is occuring because the Space/Time between them is being altered or warped. The greater the colective mass the greater the warpeture.

In a Hollow Sphere...and let's say it was made of a material that it's generated Gravity would collapse...the attraction or Space/Time warpeture would be created by the surrounding sphere itself...thus all particles making up the sphere directly adjacent from each other would be attracted to each other and cause such a sphere to collapse inward.

There does not exist a Gravity Well directly center of this to do so.
