Police officers' union says man who posted video of police doing doughnuts is a ‘snitch’

Not a good look for the police here.
I used to call the police department to report officers that were flagrantly abusing their position, for instance by turning on their lights and siren to get through an intersection and then immediately turn them off and doing this over and over down the road. The usual response is that they were on a call that got canceled. Yeah. Right. I finally realized that it was pointless. Just last week I was driving right next to a cop for several miles down the road (a road with several stop lights but still a 55 mph speed limit) and they were talking on a cell phone that wasn't hands free.

Is it so much to ask that the people that enforce the laws be held to at least the same standard that they are enforcing? Personally, I think they should be held to a significantly higher standard.

From a Linked-In post by Erica Armstrong:

When Neil Armstrong's X-15 was coming down from 207,000 feet, he began the descent but pitched down too long. In the thin atmosphere, he didn't have enough positive aerodynamic forces to respond to the controls so he had to hang out, upside down at Mach 3, while waiting to regain control of the airplane. Talk about having a story at the bar that begins...."There I was, Mach 3, on fire, hanging upside down..."

The driver was checked out by medics and refused further care. The driver was arrested for DUII, reckless driving, attempted to elude a police officer,” the report states.

The driver refused to give a breath sample and a warrant was applied for and granted. The driver was transported to Providence in Hood River for a medical release and blood draw. His medical blood-alcohol content was .38% - .3 above the legal limit

Coma level!

That’s a level where it is likely the person has blood-alcohol poisoning and can experience blackout . The vehicle was recovered by Guzman Brothers Towing.

The University of Toledo describes the alcohol level is that of surgical amnesia, onset of coma, possibility of acute alcohol poisoning, death due to respiratory arrest likely in 50% of drinkers.

"GPS jamming/spoofing, incompetent ATC, GPWS warnings, NDB approach off the needles, go around, diversion, hit by a SAM, flying with no hydraulics and a valiant attempt to land. Now that, is an impossibly bad day at the office. But, the pilots did a heroic job, saving many and that is how they will be remembered."

Coming into Birmingham, Alabama from the south you cross Red Mountain and it flattens out into the valley where Bham sits. Unfortunately, in order to preserve the roads and infrastructure, they elevated the Interstate as it crosses the valley. When it does snow it usually starts as rain and the elevated roadway freezes so it's good road conditions coming down the mountain and suddenly you are on an ice rink. The local TV loves to catch footage of the cars and trucks sliding completely out of control and unable to brake on the ice. They usually mix it with some Classical Vienese Waltz music and always funny as hell to watch as long as someone isn't killed in the ensuing mayhem.
