I used to call the police department to report officers that were flagrantly abusing their position, for instance by turning on their lights and siren to get through an intersection and then immediately turn them off and doing this over and over down the road. The usual response is that they were on a call that got canceled. Yeah. Right. I finally realized that it was pointless. Just last week I was driving right next to a cop for several miles down the road (a road with several stop lights but still a 55 mph speed limit) and they were talking on a cell phone that wasn't hands free.https://www.fox19.com/2025/01/29/po...osted-video-police-doing-doughnuts-is-snitch/
Police officers' union says man who posted video of police doing doughnuts is a ‘snitch’
Not a good look for the police here.
Is it so much to ask that the people that enforce the laws be held to at least the same standard that they are enforcing? Personally, I think they should be held to a significantly higher standard.
