Any suggestions on how I can get use a PWM signal and build a simple circuit to output -5 to +5 that is nice and smooth?

If it helps I have two PWM outputs I can use and using the PICAXE 28x I can program any period and duty cycle.

Cheers

Hi,

If you don't need any current-carrying capacity, then the PWM output set to 100% duty cycle should give the +5. If this is the case (I am not familiar with this model PIC) then adding a inverting charge pump like the 7660 puus two 10 uF tantalum caps will give you the -5. As I said, don't expect to power anything with this setup.
