Generating a frequency of 1-10khz using VS1053 Mp3 Module

How could i generate frequencies (beep/tone) of 1 to 10khz using VS1053 Codec (+ MicroSD Breakout - MP3/WAV/MIDI/OGG Play + Record - v4) as attached in the below image.

I am amazed that there is a simple solution to your request!

Clearly, if you send it a MP3 stream encoded with the desired frequency, you can make a wide range of frequencies. Maybe somebody with that knowledge will be able to give you some help.

That may not be the best part for your project, depending upon what you are trying to accomplish.

An easier way to generate pretty nice sine waves over that frequency range is with and AD9833 module. I just spotted one on Aliexpress.com for U.S. $1.57 and recently bought some on eBay for U.S. $2.29 each. To program it all you need is the datasheet and application note from Analog Devices.
