In a nutshell...

Special Relativity: System of mechanics applicable at high-velocities, i.e. approaching the speed of light, and in the absence of gravitation. So called because it is a special case that applies to inertial frames.

General Relativity: The theory of gravity unifying special relativity and the Newtonian theory of gravity.

The actual differences are many and complex, is there anything you specifically want to know about relativity, or is it a casual curiosity?
