I am reading about steps to solve transient analysis but they just talk about turn off independent source to find the form of transient response , they don't talk about how to deal with dependent sources like the pictures below.
From step 2 to step 3, I don't understand how they can transform the block with R1, R2 and dependent current source 2i into E Thevenin, and R Thevenin? Can you explain how to deal with dependent sources ?
