I have a FLUKE 743B Documenting Process Calibrator which shows that there is continuity (short) with the leads attached (open) and without leads. I noticed this issue when I selected the audio feature for continuity on the Fluke 743B and the meter began to generate the audible continuity tone when no leads were attached.
Any ideas on what might cause this issue?

operators manual doesn't cover this issue and I don't have access to the Fluke 741B, 743B. 744 service manual
