So my neighbor has just installed an automation on his garage door. The thing is, it looks like his remote control is also controlling my motorized gate. Is there a solution to stop this problem without having to replace anything?

Only if your remote is frequency agile or uses some kind of coded modulation. Check the owner's manual. Contact the manufacturer.

 

Most remote control ppackages have a means of selecting a code that is different from the default code that was set when the unit was built. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS on how to chage this code, and use that to enter a different code into your gate opener.
