Hi all, 1st off Happy xmas to you all

I need a little help if poss, I have pulled the power supply \ inverter board out of my Samsung monitor cause it would not switch on

I checked all the caps 1st and they look OK, I then noticed the TOP246YN (Integrated Off-line Switcher) was in 2 halfs, I replaced it with a new one and the same thing happend, so question is what else on the board would cause this problem

Just because the caps look ok doesn't necessarily mean they are ok. Have you measured their ESR?

 

No not touched them, I think I best replace them all, there's only 7 of them and then stick another TOP246YN and see what happens
