Does anyone have a schematic diagram of an electronic steam whistle generator. A good one would have a steam sound and the whistle would consist of more than one frequency.

 

Googling "model train steam whistle" gives many hits.

 

I would imagine that the circuit to make this would be quite large, you would probably be better off using a microcontroller and a recording of a steam whistle...
