Hi all,

Is it Ok if I connect a E-Cap with its positive terminal to ground and its negative terminal to a negative voltage such that the voltage at the negative voltage is always negative at all times when compared to its positive terminal

Thanks

Ditto. All voltagee are relative.

But what i dont understand is that how can we connect the positive terminal of the E-Cap to our circuit ground?

Think about it a bit! Pos side is connected to common(ground). Neg side is connected a neg volts with respect to common(ground). What volts polarity appears across cap?
Try it with a resistor if you want to experiment.

All that matters is that the positive terminal be connected to a voltage that's more positive than the voltage at the negative terminal.
