Hi,

Opened up my washer dryer for a belt change and noticed these two just hanging freely near the dryer motor Are these some kind of temperature sensors?

 

Odd. They resemble CdS light sensors but that's not something typically found in a dryer. Can you find a service manual? These typically have a schematic and that should reveal their function.

 

Cant find a service manual anywhere. The model is WD42A96160
