What type of electrical insulation paper would I need for a transformer that has millivolts and milliamps on the primary and no more that a few volts and amps on the secondary with about 1592 kilohertz radio frequicy feeding the primary. Thanks.
Yes, Kapton tape is fine for most general purpose applications. The insulating materials get broken down by class depending on variables like temperature and voltage breakdown so they have insulation classes but again for a basic simple insulator Kapton tape is readily available and common. Kapton is made by Dupont and the name belongs to Dupont. This sounds like a duplicate post.
If in doubt, use Kapton tape.
Fishpaper? I believe so.Is Prespahn what some used to call fishpater?
Yes, we used NOMEX another Dupont product. Good stuff, from Kapton to Nomex doesn't quite come as inexpensive.Fishpaper? I believe so.
Also usually used to line the slot of a motor stator winding.
Max.
Also the "transformer" would need to be built on a ferrite core. Using 1592kHz on it's primary? This sounds like one of those 'free energy' from radio wave things. How does mV and mA on the primary turn into few volts and amps on the secondary?
