Hello!
I have this homework question, thats due in 1 hour. I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
Now im going to provide you with information about what is the task.
Basically its a motor wiring diagram (attached photo), and we have to figure out how does it work and
describe the components. It would be really appreciated, If you could describe how it works and whats the
point of this to me in a few sentences.
Also I would like to know what parts are the JN1 and JN2 on the right side of the diagram.
The teacher mentioned, that theres a mistake in the place with JN1-0 and JN2-0.

The course-work the question is based on should have provided you with all the necessary information.

Unfortunately we're not psychic.
Thought the JN1 and JN2 were some universal symbols.

Its just the diagram, we have to describe how it works and what components are there, but I already missed the deadline, now I got time to look into this better. Any help still appreciated.

I much prefer NEMA circuit symbols over IEC , Probably because I have mostly worked with them, but still think NEMA has the edge.
You only have to study the component ID's in the circuit to identify the purpose of JN1 & JN2. And what they represent.

What do you mean by ''Study the component ID's. '' ? I only have this diagram and that's it, but I can't seem to wrap my head around it. I dont understand in what sequence the components work. But thanks for your time and anserw. I'll firstly try to figure out the JN1 and JN2, and work from there.

The JN1/JN2 are physical representations of the corresponding circuit elements with the same designations.
Oh and one more question. What is going on in that place I marked with the blue circle? Whats the purpose of it? Is it a component or part of the circuit? Thanks so much! :D
