Who is the manufacturer of this capacitor and what is the Order No.? The capacitor in my ASUS laptop has probably reached the end of its life and is causing random external display blackouts for a few seconds. I found two types in my laptop: EAW42 22 25V and EAW41 220 6.3V What does it means "EAW"?

I am thinking to replace it by a new tantalum capacitor. Which type would you recommend?

If you can locate a similar sized capacitor with the same or similar ratings that you can actually buy, then you can replace it
But how did you conclude that it was those particular parts that caused the problem??

The laptop itself is running well without any problems. Only when I connect the new Dell U2723QE - LED monitor 27" sometimes the display temporay blackout for a few seconds (over HDMI more frequently, over DisplayPort over USB-C less frequently). The monitor works without any issues with another ACER laptop.

This is quite possibly normal behavior.

It does not seem like a capacitor problem. If you have any version of windows OS know that it is not very smart and so it will takea while to figure what is happening when you connect an external monitor.
Understand that microsoft has never ever delivered any bug-free software and they have no intention of ever producing bug free code. That is not their business plan.

I bought the laptop in January 2017 and use it daily cca 8 hours. Aluminium electrolytic capacitors have a lifetime about 5000 hours.

My question now is when does the failure occur? If it only fails when an external monitor is connected, how can that be a power suppy in the computer problem?? Now answer this: Does it start to work again if the monitor is unplugged?? THAT is not a symptom of capacitor failure, because they do not cure themselves after failing.

I think the problem is in the power supply. If the laptop is running well itself and the problem accurs sporadicaly when the external monitor is attached it could be cause by the higher current demand for HDMI or DisplayPort over USB-C connection to external monitor. When the filtering capacitor degrades it can cause temporary dropouts when the capacitor is unable to cover increased demand for higher current drain.

I will have a look on capacitor/s and measure them.
