Just got a shipment of pcb boards back from the manufacturer, and the vias weren't tented as per instructions. Apparently pcbway doesn't do this, even if you specify it in the order if the gerber file solder mask includes it.

I googled how to get EAGLE to not include vias in the solder mask, followed the instructions, but the generated mask file didn't change.

Anyone have any tutorials or ideas on this?

 

As far as I know, PCB houses will not modify your gerber files. They will manufacture the PCB based on the files you sent them.
In you want solder mask over your pads you have to request this in the CAD.
Always view your files in a gerber viewer before submitting to the PCB manufacturer.
