Couple of weeks ago a friend picked up a toy drone in the back yard where it landed under a bush apparently with low battery. It had a camera attached. It was .
After charging the unit it worked quite well. Downloaded the video and photos from the camera. Very interesting! Video of drone flying around his(owners) backyard and inside his house taking vid of his wife in the buff coming out of the shower.
.
On a side note..
Acouple of years ago someone brought in a "game cam" for repairs. The batteries died and corroded the terminals. We cleaned them and when the owner came to pick it he wanted to power it and make sure all was good. Turns out it was set up in his back yard to see if coons were eating his dogs food. When we looked at the pics the first thing we saw was his wife and a neighbor doing the nasty on the picnic table.. It got real quiet for a second, and he said "yep..it works" and went on his way..

I was reading your post on those new drone regs.

I remember when the CB craze hit. The FCC was overwhelmed with paperwork and nuisance complaints.

In the end, they reduced requirements for ALL FCC licenses. They increased license periods, and reduced or eliminated fees. And concentrated on tech offenders.

There is a difference though. I think the drones have more potential commercial value.

We'll have to see how popular they become with individuals.

That's funny!
Thousands of useless bureaucrats create thousands of rules, just to keep their grip on the government's teat...then reality intrudes. They knew they were just pretending to be busy...suddenly they are.:D

Maybe it's time to form the National Drone Association - NDA.

In accordance with the US Constitution, we advocate for the people's right to operate unmanned drones free from government.
We'll continue to fight for your right to own drones for self protection.

And that would be the US' constitution 28th amendment?

I am sure some terrorist is figuring out how much C4 the drones can carry. Black Sunday, 2016.
Do ya' think more laws will stop the terrorists?
Do ya' think the State Police are going to have drone battles over Nashville to save the Grand Ole' Opry and Country Music in general?

Those are jokes with bad punch lines.
I was trying to be silly about something that actually worries me. Last year, there were some 80,000 SWAT team raids in the U.S.A., and some of them were at the wrong address, to say the least. Innocent people were killed in their sleep and a baby was mutilated by a, "flash-bang" grenade thrown in the crib. I wonder how this will play out when the police can simply drone a bomb to an address.

Yea, I got that you were being humorous and the topic bothers me also. I think the drone uses can be far more malevolent than benevolent. I can see mounting a shot gun on a tractor bomb drone because it isn't effected by a gust of wind. A flying drone is too unstable to trust the aim and I doubt any law enforcement agent would risk their career pulling that trigger. But I am very concerned about 10 GPS guided drones packing 5 lbs of C4 and nails descending into the next Super Bowl.
