Edit: It was pointed out to me I could better state my question.

My project requires the use of 24V and 12V (one at a time) from the same pcb mounted power transformer

My transformer outputs 24V @ 1.5A in Series and 12V @ 3A in Parallel.

Which of the following wiring diagrams are correct for using a DPDT toggle switch to flip back and forth between series and parallel?

Transformer I have
-Hammond 164J24 115V

Here is a link to the data sheet.

DPDT switch I have
-NKK S7A-RO

My first attempt

Here is how one of the guys on Instructables recommended I wire it.

Here is another option I came up with, To me this seems to make the most sense, Clean and simple. However I could be way off.

I thank you for your help and advice in advance. I welcome any and all input.

Updated original post to clarify my question.

If it changes the question or the answer. I can upload my project schematics. Just let me know if they are needed.

Thanks.

Thanks, I was leaning towards that one as well but it is always nice to have conformation.

Now on to learning Dip Trace. Does not look like they have 95% of the components I need in there library. So I have to start with them. Hoping to have a proper schematic and pcb layout ( not hand drawn lol ) here in the next few weeks depending on schedule.
