I have the company of 6 cats at home.
5 cats are taken from the animal shelter and one is taken from our neighbour.
Here is a slide show with all 6 cats:

I mean they are bought at the animal shelter.
The animal shelter takes care of the cats that are either found, because they where a wanderer and the owner could not be found,
or brought to the animal shelter because the owner can not take care of it anymore.

Edit: All of the them co-exist peacefully. I'm suspicious the Cats have a ( Mafia hit ) on the Chiwawa.

 

I limit the number of pets, but I do enjoy them, both cats and dogs.

I had a Betta, but he couldn't handle the stress of moving and died. RIP, Bear Gills.

 

We had a 12 year run with miniature schnauzers, then about the same with up to three cats. Then my wife developed severe allergies.

Oh, and during that run. We also had rabbits, hermit crabs, scorpions and others I have certainly forgotten! (There parakeets, lizards, goldfish and koi)

At one point, we had 3 cats: Mussolini, Sean Connery, and Milo. Now the only cats are Milo and William Shatner.

Actually, it was her given name when we got her.

However, with how mean that cat was, naming her after a dictator was well suited...

Yup!!!! 2 full blooded fully trained German Shepherd Service and PTSD dogs, a happy old Golden retriever and another 5 sisters out in the yard taking long naps waiting for us at the bridge. The sleeping sisters don't bark much and are really cheap to feed, but don't play very much very often anymore either...

Used to like having dogs & cats as a kid, when my parents took care of them. Now, I can't justify buying a useless animal, paying for food, paying for shots, cleaning up its messes, letting it outside, bathing it, etc. I have enough of that from the kids. If the kids want a companion, they have each other. If I ever get a dog, it will be guard dog; the only useful type of dog for 99% of people. Never a chihuahua never a cat.
