Hi,
Please can someone help me with this problem.

show that a,b,c are real numbers and a#0, then there is a unique solution of the equation ax+b=c.

the uniqueness of the solution is my problem.

Hi there, if you are solving for x in the equation;
ax + b = c, then x = (c - b)/a
a can't be 0 or x will be infinately large.

yes it might be a solution for the existence. I will work on the uniqueness.
