I'm testing a Boost with Attiny.

I am looking for a simple solution to build a MOSFET driver from transistors and passive components,
But how could I protect the assembly in the event that hypothetically the microcontroller will be blocked?

I would like that regardless of what signal the microcontroller gives, the Ton pulse of the MOSFET has a maximum duration,

That is, to be able to test different programs for the microcontroller without being stressed about burning the transistor.

If I use an IR2103 type IC like this, will the Out pulse be limited in duration regardless of In?
Now another question..
Do you know a simple SMPS able to source and sink current?

I could put an H-bridge on the SMPS output. But I'm looking for something simpler.

Or should I put this resistance in the source of the MOSFET?
If the transistor remains ON for too long,
The intensity of the current increases through the coil,
U=I*R
So the voltage on R increases and raises the potential of S, which will decrease the G-S voltage. And that puts the MOSFET in OFF..

But maybe R determine the heating and burning of the transistor due to the temperature?
