I have a working VCR, that I am very fond of. It is an old RCA (are there any new ones?) it can only receive the old style TV signals (pre 2000).

 

Hi Wendy, I only just saw this posting. I have aVHS2DVD device. I purchased it quite a few years ago and ran it in XP. It will certainly do what you want, plus some. The software included is quite versatile and will allow you download videos from youtube and convert the format of videos from all sources into various formats. The only potential problem that I see is that they don't specify the resolution of the imported displayed videos. It was only 800 x 600 on my old version but that has probably been upgraded.
