Hi everyone!
I am currently embarking on capstone project where I will design an ultrasound device that can measure blood volume by utilizing piezoelectric transducers that will measure the doppler shift that would theoretically bounce off of red blood cells, convert to velocity, and consequently sum volume over a 24 hour time period. From preliminary research, I'd use a 5Mhz piezoelectric transducer for my specific project application. To create this circuit, I believe I would need to connect the transducers to the input of the circuit, use some sort of filters, amplifiers, and Arduino.

I'm a biomedical engineering student with exposure to circuits, more specifically microcontrollers. However, we haven't worked with this type of application before. Is this type of circuit feasible, how should I approach building this circuit in a way that can store and analyze this data?

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you !! :)

Welcome to AAC!

That's a good start.

The next research stage will be to study the sort of circuits used with 5MHz transducers.
You will also need to decide whether a single transducer will be used (pulse-echo principle) or a transmitter-receiver pair of transducers.
