IN SOME 3 PHASE POWER SUPPLY ,THE INPUT OF THIS POWER SUPPLY IS DRIVEN FROM 3 PHASE DELTA NOT WYE AND THE REASON IS THE DELTA CONFIGURATION HAS LESS HARMONICS DISTORTION THAN Y SO WHY THE DELTA HAS LESS HARMONICS DISTORTION THAN Y

because the other two phase windings are in paralell with the other winding. dosnt matter which winding yhou are talking about, the other two are in paralell, damps harmonics. in wye, they are not in paralel.

in Delta the windings go across two phases,which means they are in parallel, where as Star/Wye they are in series across two phases.
