So i was trying to find what the current in 6 ohm in this circuit using Thévenin , i figuered that one end had a positive 16 volt and the other had -24 after converting the current source into voltage source so i got my Vth , when i tried to make sure i solved it correctly i used the mesh analysis and result didnt match

can you tell me what went wrong ?

You haven't defined what your 0 V node is and, as a result, you are being very sloppy with the distinction between the voltage at a node and the voltage difference between nodes.

-24 V is NOT the voltage AT the top left node, it is the voltage RELATIVE to the positive end of the 24 V source.

when we cut off the 6 ohm of the circuit the voltage source 16 wont have an effect on the current source right ?
