Cross-reference question

I am trying to find out if an NTE2395 is compatible with an STP60NF06 MOSFET. This is part of a small motor scooter control board. Unfortunately I have no schematics so I can't be sure which part of the circuit the IC belongs to (charging, brake, or motor), but it appears to be part of the DC motor circuitry.

The only part I can find locally is an NTE2395 (which I was told was compatible), but I couldn't verify that in the ST cross-reference guides.

Any sugguestions?

Thanks,
David

hi,

seldom you find a company recommend another product for their own. check the datasheet of the ST device and compare it to the NTE. if they have almost the same specs it would probably do. however it is important that the device you will use as replacement should not have its specs lower than the original. but if the variance is more than 5% better check whats the gate input, source and drain voltage limit and compare it to the minimum and maximum specs requirement of your replacement device.
