I am looking at a cross-reference for an obsolete Sanken RU2 fast switching diode used in the degaussing circuit of an arcade monitor. The RU3A is suggested but it is also obsolete. I found a few cross references but they have a few drastically different specs. I understand the basics of the diode but I'm not sure if these difference are a problem or not. I'm leaning towards the Vishay because it is easier to get and extremely less costly. are the higher current values a problem?
