Hi, I have a T6300 that goes into standby after 10mins even with a sound source. I was wondering is it possible to bypass this? I read that it was possible maybe to hook up a capacitor ground. Any help would be appreciated!

The problem is going to be on the large pcb (middle pic) under the heatsinks will be ic's or transistors, the top and bottom is a switchmode psu type.

Okay thanks, there is one transistor and 2 ICs under the left heatsink from what I can see. Any suggestions as to what I can do next? Thank you :)

... Maybe try to determine if the problem is caused by heat/thermal effects. On cold start-up, before shutdown, use a heat gun or similar device to probe different parts, particularly those mounted on heatsinks. Alternatively, there is a product called 'freeze-spray' ... Something like that ... to try to chill down individual components. ... Just assuming that the problem is thermally related, somehow.

I doubt that it is...Theyre designed to go into standby without any sound source after 10mins. Problem is that it just goes into standby anyway no matter what source is attached, if only I could bypass this someway

Do you just need a little timer circuit that buzzes the input every 8 minutes or so to keep it alive. Correct?

You will need to take pictures of the track side of the large pcb and ideally the ic's under the heatsinks, you will have to trace the audio inputs on the pcb, there will be a Squelch circuit that detect ls silence and triggers a timer.

Edit... have you looked on here...

Yes, saw that link. Thats what I was saying previously. They're designed to go into standby without any sound source after 10mins. But my problem is that it goes into standby anyway it doesn't matter what source is attached or how loud it is. And it also doesn't bring it back out of standby which its supposed to do. Here's the back of the board its very difficult to get images of the IC under the heat-sink

Unless you can get the service manual, you need to take numbers of the ic's on the board, that way you can look up the datasheets and get a better idea of what chip does what,..

Start by following the audio input and note the ic numbers as it passes from input to output.
