I don’t get it. Why is a test so important? If you are positive then you should be staying home. If you were not positive then you should also be staying home. There is no treatment until you get fever and other symptoms. Until then just stay home and not give it to everybody else while running around town looking for a test. BTW, tests are s scarce commodity and should be reserved for those who really need it.

My Bank is only doing drive thru, so I called today because I didn’t have time to got to the Bank. I usually will go just for the drive, I don’t do online banking period, I guess I’m just freaked out about so many compromised systems. So, with this C19 I think far to many people are staying home with a lot of code in their head, Um is it just me or am I freaking out. lol

I called in but, I think it’s also an issue when I ask they wanted my Social Security Number, I might as well Bank Online with others (Big Brother listening)

Here’s my thinking. If you get a negative test then that proves nothing. The next five minutes you walk outside and get infected so the test was just a waste of money. If you get a positive test then you should be quarantined just like you should be already. There is no specific treatment for Covid-19, just like any other virus the best we can do is support with fluids and oxygen etc. As for Joey’s question, I am aware that I will die someday. Not happy about it but there you go. Thanks.

I've got Kaiser for medical insurance and they will not do a test for Covid-19 unless you are referred by a doctor. So you can come in sick as a dog and not be able to get tested until another doctor sees you. By that time, you might be well on your way to pushing up daises.

The difference is that if I have a fever it is most likely NOT C-19. Now, it is perfectly safe for me to self-quarantine until I am over it to prevent spreading it -- that's the common recommendation for dealing with the cold and flu (and other communicable diseases for which we show symptoms) every year.

While, at the present time, it's true that my treatment will probably not be substantially different if I test positive (other than possibly a higher degree of isolation, possibly forced, and extra attention given to me due to the higher likelihood of developing serious complications), it is NOT true that there will not be a substantially different response to my testing positive. If I test positive then they are going to want as detailed a history of who I have come in contact with as possible so that they can reach out to them and tell them that they have been exposed and that they need to self-isolate or even test them in turn.

China is a multi-party socialist state under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC) without freely elected politicians. China's (the regime, not any specific politician) fault in this global horror surpasses the political blame game.
So you feel he shares no blame in how far the country is behind in this? That we have an election coming up and those that survive can vote him out then? You seem to forget that it was only weeks ago that this was all a hoax. I for one will not apologize for the man in charge, and it has nothing what so ever with party, but has everything to do with leading a country.

You can stay part of the problem looking for fault at every past step or work forward to a solution despite differences. I don't give, want or need anyone's apology.

Thanks for reminding me about that. He is also as recently as yesterday blaming the last guy for his handling of H1N1, what does that have to do with anything? Apples and oranges.

But yet you do, what ever is said about the situation, you apologize for what he is doing. You sound very much like Mnuchin, "just get over it".

Will Dan Patrick be the first to take the black pill? How about a trip to Italy?
The man's an idiot. We can put young people back to work while protecting the old and sick. The trade-off is not putting grand-mama on the ice berg so we can someday eat the bears offspring. There is a increased risk trade-off to the younger population but they in return get to be free of isolation restrictions that don't endanger the old and sick.

I like to live in the reality of the situation. Past F-ups are bad and should not be easily forgiven, future F-ups are to be prevented not by hammering the past but by today's superior performance.
And yet there's plenty of world leaders nowadays whose favorite pastime is hammering the past... and past politicians... just to save face... solving nothing in the process.
