I hope paranoia doesn't become the new normal:

https://www.foxnews.com/us/california-derails-train-coronavirus-aid-ship-usns-mercy-feds-say

Moreno expressed concerns to authorities that the ship had an alternate purpose than to assist with COVID-19 and was potentially linked to a government takeover and he derailed the train to "wake people up."
“You only get this chance once. The whole world is watching. I had to," Moreno told investigators, according to the complaint. "People don’t know what’s going on here. Now they will.”

I'm very surprised he actually said it.
Yeah, it’s commendable to a degree that he acknowledges who’s in charge. But he could have chosen instead to show some leadership. That’s helping people see the right thing and do it willingly. Throwing up your hands in defeat may be realism but is a bit of a cop out also. We elect leaders to change the future, not just wait for it.

A loco nutcase with a loco.

The USNS Mercy has done nothing but lives. I'm proud that one of my last contractor jobs with the Navy was to do the final certification of the original logistics computer system onboard her and the USNS COMFORT in the 80's.

The Constitution is not a suicide pact. Reasonable restrictions need to be issued and followed. People are dying.

OK it's official, "Coronavirus social distancing beer parties" or (CVSDBP) are just about as bad as the virus itself. After we all started one I stopped posting yesterday because an old Military buddy knocked and guess what? Had more beer! He asked did any of us have it, I replied "NO" and it was on again. So this morning I have a slight to moderate hangover. The symptoms include a slight headache, feeling woozy, light headed, elevated anxiety and a slightly upset stomach.

It would seem many of the states who failed to create mandates or at least stress social distancing seem to have the larger outbreaks by population. Just an observation.

Get tested. ASAP!
OK, the test was positive! I have a hangover. To put it in engineer calculations: (Where (X) is equal to number of "Ice cold adult beverages" plus number of friends "times" the number of events = Hangover)
Just glad we came out unscaved and there were no "Here hold my beer, watch this" moments.

I'm with @joeyd999 on this one: Anti-gouging laws hurt people. The people that create them should be sued into oblivion by the victims.
So you would be OK then, with manufactures slowing down production to create a higher price for things? That is the other side of this.

You guy's should also be applauding this then - https://theintercept.com/2020/04/01/coronavirus-medical-supplies-export/ Or this - https://www.thedailybeast.com/white...al-gear-after-embarrassing-mix-up-says-report

Yeah, our Md says to get one to help with her Videovisists. New gadget for the meds locker. Thermometer, Blood Pressure Cuff, Blood Sugar kit, now also an Oximeter. I kinda like the idea of not having to wait in her office to see her, now wait at home for her to call us. New Wave Medicine...

My niece who is a Child and Family Psychiatrist is also practicing from her bedroom these days by televisits.
