The meter reads the correct voltage when running: 13.4 +- volts. Since it is an antique car, well, 1965 does not sound "too" old to me but, the meter is within my spec. I took an image from the net, printed it and made a small sticker so it now reads "Volts" , glued it over the amps label. Thanks to all of you for your help on this, it is very nostalgic for me, 55 years I have owned this car and putting a bit of the AF stuff in it, for me, is meaningful. Here is the finished meter:
