I am trying to control output for high voltage circuits. The voltage I am dealing with ranges from 400 - 6kVAC. Are there High Voltage Switches and or Contactors for this application with a 24VAC to 120VAC coil?

What is the character of your Load? AC VOLTAGE.
Is a lower Actuation-Voltage available? IF YOUR REFERING TO COIL VOLTAGE, YES (24VAC - CAN CHANGE DEPENDING ON WHATS AVAILABLE)

You didn't answer about the Character of your Load, only that it's "AC",
well that's very-slightly less deadly than DC, but it doesn't say much ......
Is your Load Inductive or Capacitive ?,
or is it strictly Resistive ?
Are you dealing with a Jacobs-Ladder, or maybe a Neon-Sign ?
Maybe a Tesla-Coil ?, or a Car Ignition-System ?
What are you trying to accomplish here ???

These are very high voltages which, if there is any appreciable current can easily be deadly. If you are inexperienced in how to switch them, undertaking a project to do that without expert assistance seems very risky.

Can you explain the application so we can help you vet the method you are choosing? The proper way to do it will vary with what you are trying to accomplish. Can you describe the problem you are tryin got solve?

Can you switch on/off the input to the variac and not the output. Switching at lower voltage will cost less.
