Considerations When using CMOS

Think about the fact that the inputs to CMOS circuits drive twice the number of MOS-gates as a typical circuit, i.e. they drive both the nMOS and the complimentary pMOS transistor gates. Consider what affect this has on speed by virtue of the RC time constants, i.e. twice the C means the RC time constant will <longer/shorter> and therefore the CMOS circuit will be <faster/slower>.
