Hi,

Just checking, here a question of an electronics n00b, I am making a new Iontophoresis machine and would like to connect an (Ultracell) 12V battery to another (Ultracell) 6V battery like they do with 6V batteries in the video below. Can I do that and get ~18V and/or might I screw up my batteries in some way?

Thank you

Sure you can put batteries in series to get more voltage. That's what they are doing internally.
Just be aware of the amp-hour ratings. Two batteries the same size with different voltages...the higher voltage battery will run out of juice before the lower voltage battery.
